Exploring and Innovating the School-Enterprise Collaboration Mechanism | Unveiling the Growth Code of Boda Weiye Industry

　　To fully implement the "One Core, Six Pairs" industrial spatial layout proposed by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, as well as Jilin Province's strategy for building a pharmaceutical powerhouse, Jiangsu Province Bodaweiyey Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Jilin University have jointly launched a collaborative project to establish an experimental platform focused on innovative chemical drug development and the R&D of critical technologies, thereby fostering corporate innovation and driving high-quality enterprise growth.

　　Initially, the collaboration focused on tackling key and foundational technologies, as well as critical chemical structures, central to innovative drug development. Some projects have already completed technology transfer and have moved into pilot-scale research. To further deepen the exploration of new industry-academia-research cooperation mechanisms, this initiative leverages the strengths of universities in basic research, aiming to accelerate the translation of core technologies into tangible innovations. Jilin Province Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has invested in establishing the "Jilin University-Jilin Province Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Joint Science and Technology Research Fund" at the School of Pharmacy, Jilin University. Currently, based on the preliminary research outcomes achieved by university-based teams, the fund has successfully facilitated two approaches: direct commissioning by the company and open project applications submitted by research teams. This has led to the initial selection of eight high-quality collaborative projects, creating an integrated "industry-academia-research" partnership model. Under this model, after universities complete their technological explorations, research teams will second researchers to Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical, enabling them to fully engage in subsequent stages of the collaboration—including process re-engineering, optimization, pilot-scale production, and eventual industrialization—at the company. Additionally, these researchers will contribute to other core technology initiatives within the enterprise. Through these collaborative projects, both technology and talent are effectively translated into practical applications, paving the way for innovative models of university-industry partnerships across the province's pharmaceutical sector.

　　In the inaugural year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Bodaweiyue embraces the new landscape by focusing on the pharmaceutical innovation sector. Leveraging pharmaceutical intermediates, we aim to drive broader progress through targeted initiatives, steadily moving forward.

　　Broadwise has entered the field of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) by developing key linker components for ADCs. The company has already established collaborative intentions with the School of Chemistry at Jilin University to jointly create a series of linkers, and two of these projects have nearly completed their research phases and are now poised to move into pilot-scale production.

　　Broadway Biotech has entered the innovative drug development field through novel pharmaceutical intermediates, and has already reached cooperation intentions with the School of Pharmacy and the School of Chemistry at Jilin University. Additionally, two collaboration agreements have been signed, while five more partnerships have successfully passed the initial project approval review.

　　To deeply implement the university's "university-local collaboration" spirit, on October 22, 2021, Jilin University's School of Pharmacy and Jilin Province Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. jointly held a ceremony in Changchun to establish the "Jilin University School of Pharmacy–Jilin Province Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Joint Scientific Research Fund" and launch the "Jilin University School of Pharmacy Boda Weiye Scholarship." Concurrently, Jilin University awarded Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. with a plaque, officially designating it as Jilin University's Master's Student Practice Training Base.

　　Jilin Province Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and the School of Pharmacy at Jilin University held a ceremony in Changchun to establish the "Joint Scientific Research Fund between Jilin University School of Pharmacy and Jilin Province Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd." and to present the "Boda Weiye Scholarship" donated by Jilin Province Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
