The Launching Ceremony of the Jilin Province Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance was held in Liaoyuan City on November 7, 2013.

   To boost the development of the chemical pharmaceutical industry in Jilin Province and accelerate the cultivation of the province's key pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, the Office of the Jilin Provincial Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Promotion Group, together with the People's Government of Liaoyuan City, jointly hosted the "Innovative Development Forum for the Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry and the Launching Ceremony of the Jilin Province Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" on the morning of November 7. The event was held at the Longshan Auditorium in Liaoyuan City. Jilin Province Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has been selected as the chairman unit.

      Li Jianhua, Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Wu Lan, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Xue Jin'an, Secretary-General of the Municipal Party Committee, Tang Yan, Vice Mayor, and Chen Wei, Vice Chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, along with Lü Bing, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, attended the launch ceremony.
The Jilin Province Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance is led by Jilin Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and comprises 33 member organizations, including pharmaceutical enterprises, universities, and research institutions such as the Shihuida Pharmaceutical Group, Jilin University, and the Jilin Provincial Institute of Pharmaceutical Research. The alliance aims to leverage the complementary strengths and collaborative innovation among its members, focusing on addressing critical industry-wide innovation needs. By pooling and integrating cutting-edge resources in chemical pharmaceuticals, it seeks to establish a shared technology platform, overcome key technological barriers hindering industry growth, and foster a sustainable, stable mechanism for industry-academia-research-application collaboration. This will accelerate the commercialization of innovative technologies and their widespread adoption. Additionally, the alliance will actively explore mutually beneficial sharing mechanisms, strengthen strategic research and planning for industrial development, enhance effective communication across academia, research, industry, and application sectors, and ultimately drive the rapid advancement of Jilin Province's chemical pharmaceutical industry.

At the meeting, Duan Chengjun, Chairman of Jilin Boda Weiye Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.—the chairperson unit of the Jilin Province Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance—elaborated on the significance, purpose, mission, key tasks and priorities, as well as the development goals of the alliance. Meanwhile, Zhang Weihan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, read out the department’s approval recognizing both the Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance and the Liaoyuan Pharmaceutical High-Tech Specialized Industrial Base.
At the same time as the alliance's launch ceremony, the Jilin Province Chemical Drug Industry Innovation and Development Forum was held. The forum invited six renowned experts and entrepreneurs in the chemical drug field, including Liu Changxiao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dean of the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and researcher at the Tianjin Institute of Pharmaceutical Research, to deliver keynote speeches on hot topics in chemical drug development, such as new drug formulation, major innovative drug creation, and high-end generic drugs.
This conference was hosted by the Jilin Province Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Promotion Group Office and the Liaoyuan Municipal People's Government, with implementation support provided by the Jilin Province Modern Chinese Medicine and Biopharmaceutical Base Construction Office, the Liaoyuan Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and Jilin Bodaweiyue Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Over 300 participants attended, including representatives from leading departments of the pharmaceutical and health industry, as well as science and technology bureaus, from relevant cities (prefectures), counties (cities, districts) within the province; leaders from affiliated universities and research institutes; heads of scientific and technological projects in the chemical pharmaceutical sector; and key personnel from chemical pharmaceutical manufacturers and member organizations of the Chemical Pharmaceutical Alliance.
