2020 On the afternoon of April 29, Li Chenfang, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Minister of United Front Work, Zhang Zhaosheng, Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, Liu Li, Secretary-General of the Federation, and other leaders visited our company to conduct a调研 (research and investigation) on the implementation of pharmaceutical chamber policies during the pandemic as well as the current challenges faced. More than 20 representatives from several member units of the pharmaceutical industry and health-related chambers, including Bodda Pharmaceutical and Baikang Pharmaceutical, attended the调研.
Duan Chengjun, Chairman of the Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Bodaweyi Company, reported to the attendees on the relevant situation. First, Mr. Duan shared how, over the past year since the establishment of the Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Chamber of Commerce—and particularly during the pandemic—its member companies have responded to the government’s call by fulfilling their social responsibilities, donating more than 2 million yuan in cash and supplies. He also expressed gratitude to the relevant departments of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, as well as the financial sector, for their guidance and support in helping enterprises resume production and operations.
Mr. Duan reported to the research team on the implementation of policies across eight areas, including development and reform, finance, human resources and social security, commerce, finance, electricity, taxation, and the social insurance system.
Mr. Duan, representing the member organizations, appealed to the government, urging it to help resolve the issues at hand.
1 Reduce or exempt relevant taxes and fees.
2 1. Extend the exemption or deferral period for relevant medical and other insurance premiums.
3 In the next phase, some enterprises will face difficulties in procuring raw materials due to the pandemic, leading to production halts or partial shutdowns. It cannot be ruled out that most employees may be sent on leave.
After carefully listening to the situation reports from each unit, the leader of the research team stated: "Upon returning, we will certainly relay everyone's concerns truthfully to the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and promptly introduce relevant solutions to help businesses alleviate their difficulties."
